Bogotá, July 2026. Artificial intelligence has entered a new stage; after years of technological development and experimentation, the challenge is no longer to prove its potential, but to turn it into tangible results for organizations, governments and the economy. Productivity, competitiveness, automation, new business models and data-driven decision-making will be some of the topics at the center of the conversation at ANDICOM 2026, Latin America’s leading technology and business congress, to be held from September 1 to 4 in Cartagena: on September 1 with the Knowledge Hub, the prelude to the Main Academic Forum, which will take place from September 2 to 4 as the central stage of the academic agenda.
Under the theme “Unleashing the Power of AI”, the 41st edition of the congress starts from a clear premise: artificial intelligence has begun to generate real economic impact. The challenge is no longer only to develop technological capabilities, but to translate them into greater productivity, business growth, competitiveness and social well-being. That will be the question guiding the entire academic agenda of the event.
“The conversation about artificial intelligence has evolved. Today, organizations no longer ask what this technology can do, but how to apply it to increase productivity, strengthen competitiveness, improve decision-making and generate sustainable advantages. ANDICOM will be the stage where global leaders will share experiences, real cases and strategies to turn that potential into concrete results,” said Mario Castaño, Technical Director of CINTEL.
The congress will open on September 1 with the ANDICOM Knowledge Hub 2026 – Business Impact Sessions, a day of high-level strategic conversations, real use cases and actionable insights with direct impact on business, structured around executive panels, real use cases and executive networking spaces. Among other sessions, the day will bring together the CINTEL AI Forum, focused on the governance and responsible adoption of AI agents, and the CyberShield Forum, dedicated to cybersecurity in the quantum era and the transition to post-quantum cryptography in Colombia.
From September 2 to 4, the Main Academic Forum will be the congress’s main stage, bringing together business leaders, international experts, public authorities and representatives of technology companies to analyze the challenges and opportunities that will shape the evolution of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in Latin America. Its entire agenda is structured around four strategic pillars: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital trust, connectivity and digital infrastructure, and public policy and regulation.
As guest of honor, the European Union will play a leading role in the opening of the Main Academic Forum on September 2, a day devoted to artificial intelligence as development infrastructure and to the technological acceleration of economies. Its presence reflects the European bloc’s role as the largest foreign investor in the Colombian technology sector: it accounts for 22% of foreign direct investment in technology in the country, has generated more than 120,000 jobs through European companies, and brings together its 27 Member States in support of this strategic alliance.
The agenda will also feature senior representatives of the new national government: the opening of the Main Academic Forum and the closing of the congress will be led by them; during these sessions they will share the technology sector’s roadmap and their vision of Colombia’s digital priorities for the coming years.
Throughout these three days, the agenda will address topics such as applied artificial intelligence, automation, advanced analytics, data platforms, digital resilience, the future of work, digital talent, digital government, sustainability, connectivity and predictive analytics, with an approach aimed at demonstrating how these technologies can translate into greater productivity and competitiveness.
In parallel with the Main Academic Forum, the Experience Hub will offer attendees a space to explore solutions, technology demonstrations and innovations developed by leading companies, strengthening the connection between knowledge, technology and business opportunities.

Among the confirmed speakers is Derek Manky, Chief Security Strategist at Fortinet and one of the world’s leading experts in threat intelligence, who will analyze how artificial intelligence is transforming the cybercrime landscape through autonomous attacks, deepfakes and new digital threats, as well as the strategies to strengthen organizational resilience.
Also taking part will be Raju Vegesna, Chief Evangelist at Zoho Corporation, who will share a perspective on the new dynamics of the digital economy and the challenges governments and companies face in building technological sovereignty in an environment driven by digital platforms and artificial intelligence.
For his part, Marc Reguera, Worldwide Customer Engagement GM of Microsoft Fabric, will present how organizations can turn artificial intelligence and data analytics into competitive advantages that accelerate decision-making and value creation.
The agenda will also include the participation of Andrés Barrantes, Regional Vice President for Latin America at Blend360, AWS Premier Partner, who will share experiences on the strategic use of artificial intelligence to monetize data, optimize costs, increase revenue and strengthen business competitiveness.
With an agenda focused on the main challenges facing the digital economy, ANDICOM 2026 will once again bring together those making the decisions that will define the technological future of Latin America, consolidating its position as the leading regional stage for dialogue between business, government, academia and technology providers.
